98351
Tantrum Desire
A south east London based duo, who met in 2004 at a small pirate radio station through the love of drum & bass music. Before that time these individuals had portfolios in their chosen fields, which were producing and DJ’ing. These talented artists then began working together towards their common goal, which was to break into the drum & bass scene.Experimenting and striving for constant perfection: Jay (Producer / DJ) and Devon (DJ) under the name Tantrum Desire , have continued their promotion campaign and expedition, appearing on internet radio shows such as, Kunninmindz, Planet dnb, UK Rumble and Kool FM.In 2005, a bunch of Tantrum Desire tracks on a load of CD’s was passed out in Spain at a big drum & bass event. This then attracted Nu-Breed’s - MC Shortston, who received a copy of the track collection and saw a spark in the production. This gave him some ideas and business plans to start up a new label called ‘Heavyweight Records’. This was the new home label for the boys, which released tracks such as, The Red Pill, Dreamscape EP, The Inner moon and White light, which had constant air play on radio stations such as 1xtra, Radio 1 and Kiss. Tantrum Desire also had bootleg projects lying around in the lab, which gave Shortston another idea to accompany Heavyweight with a bootleg label named “Booty”. This brought you releases such as, “Transformers”, “Jealousy”, “drop it like its hot” and “Can’t stop”.In early 2008, Tantrum Desire was approached by one of the biggest pioneers in the game – Simon ‘Bassline’ Smith, who saw the variety of styles in the drum & bass productions and therefore became interested. This led him to making the guys an offer and signing them exclusively to his well established label - Technique Recordings. Straight away, Technique released Tantrum Desire’s debut 12” - “Xenomorph & the Last stand, which set their trademark in the scene for the sound of big baseline synths and orchestral intro’s. Soon after, the boys featured in the award winning Knowledge Magazine, which gave an insight of the T.D team and a warning to the public that the guys would be bringing dance floor smashers on a constant level. Early 2009 brought to your ears the sound of “Crazy Talk & Strength” on Techniques sister label’ World Wide Audio Recordings. This synth’tastic release received great feedback and support from pioneers such as Grooverider, Jumping Jack Frost, Zane Lowe, Hype, Ray Keith and many more.Read more: http://www.myspace.com/tantrumdesire#ixzz15NwyHSJG
http://assets.allamericanmusic.com/images/98351_h_0.jpg
please contact"}

It was the club sessions and mixing skills that dominated the year following the release of "True Colours" - with Lincoln making a name for himself as one of the hottest Drum & Bass DJs around.In autumn 2004 he dropped the massive "High Society" LP, featuring the anthemic singles "Twilights Last Gleaming" and "Racing Green". The album has already become the stuff of legend, with Knowledge Magazine voting it into their top 3 jungle albums of the last 10 years. More recently after reaching Drum & Bass superstardom he has released mix albums for Fabric and Mixmag and seen his White Stripes remix all over Radio 1. Missy Elliot and Blaze have also come knocking for a Contrast remix and the world's dance floors have been blown apart by that Gold Digger booty. 2007 saw the High Contrast success story continue, with the single "If We Ever" getting play on Radio One, followed by arguably his finest album yet - "Tough Guys Don’t Dance".
8455
Mt Eden
As dubstep production duo Mt Eden (formerly Mt Eden Dubstep), Jesse Cooper and Harley Rayner are truly putting New Zealand - and dubstep as a genre - on the map. You could write that off as industry hyperbole, but in this case a little braggadocio is entirely apt: to date the New Zealand based act can claim over 80 million collective plays of their tracks on YouTube - more than any other New Zealand act, ever. What started as a hobby in their early teens (they were 13 and 14 when they started mixing together on their computers), has morphed into international success for the pair, who only started posting their music online after a friend created a YouTube channel for them in early 2010. Within months their total hit count was in the millions and rising - all of a sudden the bedroom producers and amateur DJs were staring down the barrel of international renown, and feeling appropriately blown away. Having first made their mark with the epic ‘Sierra Leone', Mt Eden have since remixed tracks by Ruby Frost, Six60 and legendary producer DJ Fresh, as well as many other incredible local and international artists - simultaneously building a large enough collection of their own material to warrant the recent release of their EP MEDS. Says Rayner, "It felt like the weight was shifted when we put out MEDS, because we finally had a body of original work we could be proud of and that was well received." Having put MEDS to the people Mt Eden are already at work on their debut album, which will feature collaborations and remixes with a number of other respected producers and artists from around the world. Claiming they only started making dubstep because of genre godfathers Benga and Skream, the duo's influences also include Baths, Doctor P, Ben Sage, Hudson Mohawke, Skrillex, James Blake and Tokyo Prose. Live, Mt Eden's shows are built around moments - extended build-ups, drum solos, double and triple drops - the focus always being to generate momentum and keep the crowd in the right frame of mind. Featuring a lot of unreleased material - including their own unreleased bootlegs, unheard edits of their own tunes and unreleased tracks from other artists - every Mt Eden set is a unique journey. "We have always played a good mixture of light and dark, so it can be an uplifting and gut-wrenching journey all at the same time," elaborates Cooper.Reflecting on the events of the past year Rayner says, "We didn't expect any of this to happen, and we are still overwhelmed by it." They better get their heads around it soon, because this rollercoaster ride is already well underway.
http://assets.allamericanmusic.com/images/8455_h_0.jpg
please contact"}

He bought his first guitar when he was 12 and immediately started to write songs and play in bands and the rest, as they say, is history. To this day, Woody still plays guitar for Jakwob.Etherwood first discovered drum & bass in the late 90s and, inspired by the likes of Aphrodite, Photek, Logistics, Roni Size, and DJ Hype, he was drawn to it by the atmosphere, tempo and energy. Still no more than a passive observer of the scene, from there, he got into bands like Mogwai, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Explosions In The Sky, The Album Leaf and Telefon Tel Aviv and cites these as some of his key influences. Fusing the upbeat energy of drum and bass with the chilled, atmospheric moods of reverb-heavy guitar and delayed piano rolls, it’s hard to believe that Etherwood only started producing drum and bass two years ago. His first solo release was on Hospital Records – “Give It Up”, which appeared on ‘Sick Music 3’ in November 2012, swiftly followed by the now iconic anthem “Spoken” which appeared on the ‘Hospitality Drum & Bass 2013 and of course, his most recent offering on Med School, “Unfolding” which opened the ‘New Blood 013’ album in March 2013.As we look to the horizon, things are looking very promising for this future star. With a signature sound that is deeply compelling and a dedicated fanbase all eager to hear what’s next from Etherwood, you can expect to be hearing a lot more from Etherwood over the coming months and years. I have been passionate about music since the age of 5 when I began taking Cello lessons and after 15 years I had completed my Grade 8 and played in a number of renowned orchestras including The CBSO Youth Orchestra, Midland Youth Orchestra and the Central England Ensemble.At the age of 15 I found out about 'Reason' and my producing/composing work began. After finishing school I started a degree in 'Music Performance' but during the course at Birmingham Conservatoire my passion for the producing side of things was obvious and I dropped the course to take up a degree in 'Music Production' at Leeds College Of Music' .Today I am using Logic Pro 9 and Fruity Loops to create music in all styles and also work as a 'Sound Engineer' for Birmingham House DJ's. My passion for Bass and underground sounds has driven me in the Dubstep and Garage scene but I am also influenced by life and emotion so the music I create can variate often from dark and heavy basslines to atmospheric synths, soundscapes and acoustic work.Be sure to keep an eye and ear on my soundcloud and also my up and coming DJ sets to hear my new music. Also, keep and eye out for the free downloads, aswell as my released material, including my forthcoming album 'Variationz', which will be out this year on LU10 records and will include tracks in a variety of styles and vocals from KT, Screama and Drapez!I hope you enjoy and feel my music and a big thank-you to everyone who's supporting my tracks, Enigma
http://assets.allamericanmusic.com/images/98448_h_0.jpg
please contact"}

As well as being a recording artists, they also run the Reinforced record label.They are renowned as pioneers and frontrunners in jungle and drum and bass, and the group obtained a Mercury Music Prize nomination for their 1998 album Two Pages. Their style was initially uptempo breakbeat house and techno, and has progressed to hardcore, jungle, and drum 'n' bass. Comparisons have been drawn between them and East London band Shut Up and Dance, with both bands evolving in the early 1990s as a rapprochement between the breakbeat-driven African-diasporic musical structures of hip-hop and reggae, and the dark, European reconstruction of the techno sound popularised by the likes of Joey Beltram, CJ Bolland, and Mundo Muzique. 4hero both embraced the dynamics of populist rave culture, and maintained an avant-garde status as innovative and experimental producers. They trail blazed genre-crossing studio techniques like timestretching and pitch-shifting.
http://assets.allamericanmusic.com/images/8665_h_0.jpg
please contact"}
